UK-based Marston’s Pubs has adopted Mews, a cloud-based hospitality management platform, to enhance operations across its portfolio.
Marston’s has a network of 92 hotels and inns, encompassing 1,790 rooms.
The integration of Mews’ technology enables Marston’s to facilitate mobile or tablet check-in and check-out, improving the efficiency of daily tasks for both guests and the business.
This digital transformation has been implemented across all Marston’s properties, with the system now fully operational.
The adoption of Mews by Marston’s Pubs has also enhanced centralised control over user access, bolstering security measures.
The latest move further helps protect revenue and allows for more effective management of rates.

By GlobalDataAccording to the vendor, the technology is already demonstrating a ‘tangible’ impact on the business.
Marston Hotels head Rikki Hampton said: “We chose Mews for several reasons, including a great digital guest journey and the ability to automate time-consuming tasks but it was also clear that Mews has a forward-thinking approach, which gave us confidence that they’d continue to meet our needs as we grow in the future.
“Having a PMS that’s easy to train is important. The hospitality sector has a high staff turnover. Mews is one of the most intuitive systems out there, which means we can get team members up to speed faster and with a more user-friendly experience.”
Mews Founder Richard Valtr said: “We’re delighted to partner with an iconic brand like Marston’s and help them deliver remarkable hospitality to people up and down the UK.
“In the short time we’ve known them, their commitment to smarter ways of working shines through, and everyone at Mews is excited to see how we’ll work together to deliver even more growth and success in the coming years.”
The current list of properties under Marston’s includes Talardy Hotel, Wheatsheaf, Starling Cloud, and more.
The latest development comes shortly follows Lark Hotels’ collaboration with Mews to aid its digital transformation.
