Bradford’s former IBIS Budget Hotel has found a new owner, with the sale orchestrated by Christie & Co, a UK-based specialist property adviser.

The property, which ceased operations as an ibis hotel, features a total of 86 bedrooms and includes a reception and dining area designed in an open-plan layout.

It was originally constructed in 2008 and was later sold by the previous owner, who decided to concentrate on their other business interests within the hotel and retail sectors, according to Christie & Co.

Christie Finance played a pivotal role in securing the necessary funding for the purchasers, enabling a smooth transition of ownership.

The new proprietor, who is already managing two hotels in West Yorkshire, has added this acquisition to its portfolio as the third establishment and reopened it.

Christie Finance director Ram Kakar said: “This was a satisfying completion for the Christie network, with funding secured for our clients within just eight days of instruction.

Kakar was engaged in securing funding for this transaction while Christie & Co’s regional director David Lee handled the sale.

Lee said: “We were very pleased to conclude this hotel transaction, with invaluable help from Ram Kakar from Christie Finance. I wish all the best to the new owners in their latest venture.”

Earlier this month, Christie & Co announced the sale of Kearton Country Hotel and Tearoom, located in Yorkshire Dales National Park in Thwaite, Yorkshire.

The property has six en-suite letting rooms, two letting apartments, a restaurant, a tearoom, a bar, and a gift shop.
