IHG Hotels & Resorts has entered a franchise agreement with FRT Turizm, supported by AB Consulting’s Ahmet Bilgin, to develop its first Garner hotel in Türkiye.
Scheduled to open next year, the new hotel will feature 126 guest rooms across four separate buildings. It is located near the new International Istanbul Airport.
This development follows IHG’s Turkish Investor Day, where the Garner brand was introduced to the local market.
IHG Hotels & Resorts Europe development vice president Willemijn Geels said: “With the first Garner hotel being signed just one month after we introduced the brand to our Turkish investors, it is promising to see the continued confidence our owners have in IHG’s brands.
“This remarkable achievement would not have been possible without our trusting relationship with FRT Turizm and the support of Ahmet Bilgin and his company AB Consulting. This will be the second property we open together in 2025 alongside Holiday Inn Express Istanbul Airport Arnavutkoy district, Istanbul.”
Garner, IHG’s latest venture in the midscale conversion space, offers each property access to the enterprise’s full support throughout the hotel’s lifecycle.
