Hospitality brand YOTEL has revealed plans to expand its presence in the UK with a new hotel in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
The new-build YOTEL Belfast will be located in central Belfast’s Shaftesbury Square.
Slated to open in late 2026, the property will house 165 rooms, a fitness centre, and a meeting room.
YOTEL aims to partner with local interior designers and architects to design the hotel’s interiors, which reflect the character of the capital city.
The company has also started the planning process of the hotel by submitting a proposal of application notice to Belfast City Council.
YOTEL Belfast is positioned at a walkable distance from various attractions, namely the Queen’s University and the Botanic Gardens.

By GlobalDataYOTEL chief development officer Rohan Thakkar said: “We are delighted to bring YOTEL to Belfast, a city that shares our unwavering passion for innovation and creativity. YOTEL Belfast marks an exciting step forward in our global franchise strategy and strengthens our portfolio as the 35th signed hotel, bringing our total key count to nearly 8,000. We are thrilled to partner with Andras Hotels, one of the leading and largest operators in the region.”
The plan for a new hotel in the city represents the company’s larger strategy to introduce its hotel concept to more cities worldwide.

In April, YOTEL announced its partnership with Frasers Hospitality to launch the first YOTEL hotel in Japan.
