Ayre Group and Nikki Beach Hospitality Group have entered a partnership to introduce the Nikki Beach brand resort on the Caribbean island of Antigua.

To be worth more than $400m, the luxury Nikki Beach Resort & Spa Antigua will also include a beach club named Nikki Beach Antigua, as well as branded, private Nikki Beach Residences.

The development’s construction phase is estimated to last approximately 36 months, with the resort’s opening scheduled for 2028. The teams are preparing to break ground later this month.

Situated on the mile-long Jolly Beach, adjacent to the Jolly Harbour community, the resort will feature 82 hotel rooms and suites, and 181 luxury branded residences.

These residences will range from studios to four-bedroom beach-front villas, totalling 263 resort keys and 876 guest beds.

It will offer owners of the branded residences the opportunity to participate in a rental programme.

Nikki Beach Hospitality Group cofounder, CEO and owner Lucia Penrod said: “We look forward to introducing the Nikki Beach experience to the stunning island of Antigua, marking our first resort and residences in the Caribbean and our second beach club after Saint Barth.

“We look forward to expanding in the region and providing our guests with an exciting new destination where they can Celebrate Life with us, all while enjoying Antigua’s natural beauty, rich culture, and vibrant community.”

The design is a collaborative effort between HKS Architects and ROAM Interior Design.

The resort will also have a range of amenities, including five food and beverage outlets, Tone Gym, Nikki Spa with innovative therapy rooms, an aquatic centre, and a lounge for residence owners.

This development is expected to create around 300 long-term jobs on the island, with a similar number of construction jobs in the shorter term.

Ayre Group chairman Calvin Ayre said: “This soon-to-be-developed five-star hotel on the beachfront of Antigua is poised to become an unforgettable destination in the region, combining luxury, convenience, and modern living.

“As guests enter the property, they will be immediately immersed in its idyllic atmosphere and breathtaking ocean views.”
