Mercure, part of the Accor group, has debuted in Bulgaria, with the opening of the Mercure Sofia City hotel.
Situated in the Manastirski Livadi district, the hotel has 111 rooms with views of the mountains and city skyline.
Reflecting Bulgaria’s cultural heritage, the interior design incorporates elements of Sofia’s history, with maps and colour schemes that draw on the city’s traditions.
Mercure Sofia City features the Winter Garden bistro, which serves a selection of traditional beverages, as well as the Festa restaurant that offers Bulgarian specialities and international cuisine.
Additional amenities include an on-site wine shop, a fitness centre, sauna, salt room, a range of beauty treatments, on-site car parking and charging stations for electric vehicles.
It also has coworking space and five private meeting rooms.

The latest launch follows the brand’s announcement of its debut in Oman with Mercure Muscat, last month.
A 15-minute drive from Muscat International Airport, it is set to serve both business and leisure travellers.
Since its establishment in 1973, Mercure has reached a milestone, now including a portfolio of more than 1,000 hotels worldwide.
