Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has entered a management contract to expand the Claridges brand, starting with The Claridges, New Delhi hotel, which is set to commence in April 2025.
Established in 1955, the hotel features 119 rooms and suites and is known for its blend of old-world and modern charm.
IHCL managing director and CEO Puneet Chhatwal said: “The Claridges, a distinguished landmark in Lutyens’ Delhi, provides a unique opportunity to expand our footprint at the nation’s most prestigious address, while also paving the way for potential expansion of our brandscape by growing The Claridges brand.”
Claridges Hotels owner Suresh Nanda said: “We are honoured to extend our partnership with IHCL, globally renowned and celebrated for its world-class hospitality to jointly grow The Claridges brand. Under IHCL’s management, we believe that The Claridges will build on its prestigious legacy.”
In addition to the Claridges expansion, IHCL has also announced the opening of La Estoria, Goa – IHCL SeleQtions, which is situated in the coastal village of Candolim, a short walk from Candolim Beach.
La Estoria, which means ‘The Story’, showcases a blend of Goan-Portuguese design and embodies the history and contemporary appeal of Goa.

Further expanding its boutique property portfolio, IHCL has also approved an agreement to acquire a 55% stake in Rajscape Hotels, which operates and manages 16 hotels under the Tree of Life Resorts & Hotels brand.
