A joint venture (JV) comprising The Langham Hospitality Group (LHG) and Artisan Hospitality is set to open The Langham Hotel in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in 2027.

This marks a significant expansion for LHG in Southeast Asia, following the announcement of The Langham and Customs House hotel in Bangkok earlier this year.

The Langham will be part of the Oxley Towers KLCC complex, situated in Kuala Lumpur’s Golden Triangle neighbourhood, known for its business and leisure facilities.

Occupying the upper floors of a new structure, guests will enjoy views of the cityscape and easy access to attractions such as the Petronas Twin Towers and Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.

Oxley Holdings executive chairman and CEO Ching Chiat-kwong said: “We are excited to collaborate with Langham Hospitality Group, a trusted name in the hospitality industry.

“Our partnership will not only introduce a spectacular hotel to Oxley Towers, but an elevated luxury brand in The Langham. This will strengthen the development’s position as a premier destination for business and leisure travellers.”

The Langham, Kuala Lumpur will become the third LHG property in Southeast Asia, joining the group’s portfolio alongside The Langham in Jakarta.

LHG CEO Bob van den Oord said: “We look forward to bringing our flagship brand to Kuala Lumpur, a gateway city in a thriving part of the world that is also home to a notably robust travel market.

“The Langham, Kuala Lumpur will be a telling symbol of our vision to craft iconic, world-class hotels in Southeast Asia and beyond.”

The hotel will feature 198 guest rooms and suites, a sky pool, and a range of amenities, including a three Michelin-star Cantonese restaurant from Hong Kong, a destination bar, and a new branch of London’s Palm Court eatery The Langham.

Additionally, the property features LHG’s Chuan Spa, containing a fitness centre and extensive in-room offerings.
