IHG Hotels & Resorts has strengthened its leisure portfolio with the signing of a management agreement with Aaraki Hotels & Resorts for the development of Holiday Inn Resort Dharamshala.
This development highlights IHG’s strategy to expand its presence in key leisure destinations across India.
Expected to open in the third quarter of 2027, the resort will add 150 rooms to the expanding portfolio of IHG in the region.
Nestled in the Himalayan town of Dharamshala at an altitude of 5,000ft, the resort is poised to attract both domestic and international tourists.
Holiday Inn Resort Dharamshala will offer a variety of well-equipped rooms, including standard accommodations and suites, as well as a fitness centre, a pool, retail stores, and a resort centre.
Additionally, it will provide meeting spaces, including a grand ballroom, catering to social gatherings and meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions (MICE) opportunities, with road and air connectivity for business as well as leisure travellers.
