Mohari Hospitality has announced the acquisition of the Bauer Hotel in Venice, Italy, marking an expansion of its luxury European portfolio.
This move is part of Mohari’s “commitment” to building a collection of luxury properties with heritage and cultural resonance.
The Bauer Hotel is considered one of the city’s architectural treasures, expressing late 19th-century Venetian medieval characteristics.
Located on the Grand Canal in the San Marco district, it is close to the Piazza San Marco. Under its new ownership, the property will undergo an extensive restoration to exhibit Venetian elegance.
Mohari’s latest acquisition was made alongside its European partner, Omnam Investment Group, a real estate investment and development group specialising in transformative hospitality. Omnam has a decade of experience in Italy and Europe, investing and developing historic projects.
Rosewood Hotels & Resorts, with its collection of destinations and expertise in heritage properties, will contribute its design, restoration, and operational abilities to the Bauer Hotel project. This partnership aims to enhance the property’s status with luxury and tradition.
