US hospitality company Marriott International has signed an agreement with New Development Group to open its second EDITION Hotel in Shanghai, China.
To be located in the city’s Putuo District along Suzhou Creek and adjacent to Changfeng Park, the hotel aims to redefine the concept of luxury in Shanghai.
Designed by architectural company SCDA, the Shanghai EDITION, Changfeng Park, is scheduled to open in 2026. It will feature 278 guest rooms and suites, three restaurants, two bars and various amenities.
Marriott International managing director of luxury for Greater China Bart Buiring said: “The Shanghai EDITION, Changfeng Park represents a significant addition to our luxury portfolio in Greater China.
“With the brand’s strong sense of refined, timeless design and exceptional service, we are confident that the hotel will become a sought-after destination for travellers seeking unique and memorable experiences.”
The Shanghai EDITION, Changfeng Park adds to more than 70 properties Marriott currently operates across Greater China.

Last month, Marriott partnered with Shum Yip Holdings to introduce two brands, the Luxury Collection Hotel and AC Hotel, to Shenzhen, China.
