Global hospitality group Accor has confirmed the establishment of a Novotel brand hotel in Al Wurud, Riyadh, furthering its presence in Saudi Arabia.

This move underscores Accor’s dedication to the Saudi market and its broader expansion in the Middle East.

Slated to open in 2028, this newly constructed facility will introduce Novotel’s signature contemporary style and a focus on wellness and leisure to a vibrant section of Riyadh’s hospitality sector.

The Novotel Riyadh Al Wurud will comprise 225 units, offering 160 rooms for transient guests and 65 serviced apartments suitable for families or those on extended stays.

Guests at Novotel Riyadh Al Wurud can also look forward to an array of amenities including dining options, a lobby lounge, and versatile event spaces spanning 750m². Wellness facilities such as a sauna, steam rooms, and treatment areas will be available for relaxation.

The project is backed by Saudi Arabia-based real estate company Saleh Abdulaziz Al Rajhi Partners & Co, indicating a robust alliance with Accor and a mutual aim to elevate Riyadh’s hospitality offerings.

The hotel’s location provides proximity to landmarks such as the King Abdullah Financial District, King Salman Park, and Kingdom Tower.

Globally, Novotel operates over 590 hotels in 65 countries, with plans for more than 160 additional locations. The brand has committed to a three-year partnership with the World Wildlife Fund for Nature (WWF) focusing on ocean conservation efforts.

In the Middle East and Africa region, Accor manages over 40 Novotel properties with another 21 set to join the portfolio.

In Saudi Arabia, Accor oversees nine Novotel properties, comprising 2,664 keys, with plans to introduce six more by 2030, which will add around 1,300 keys.

Forthcoming openings include Novotel Dhahran and Novotel Living Dhahran and Novotel Living Riyadh in 2026, and Novotel Rua Al Madinah in 2027.
