IHG Hotels & Resorts has expanded its Vignette Collection brand into Vietnam with the opening of Moire Hoi An.

Situated along the Hoai River, the resort comprises 128 guestrooms and suites with views of Hoi An’s UNESCO World Heritage site.

The name ‘Moire’ is derived from the term for a rippled pattern of scrunched silk.

The resort’s design is inspired by the fluidity of water and moiré fabric patterns, infusing Vietnam’s history with contemporary luxury.

Moire Hoi An Vignette Collection general manager Philip Beriman said: “We are thrilled to bring the Vignette Collection brand to Vietnam for the first time. Our intention with Moire Hoi An is to create a destination hotel offering guests diverse programming that is culturally on point, as well as an engaging and meaningful stay experience, all year round.

“Our vision has been to craft a distinctive sanctuary, where the nostalgic charm of Hoi An’s rich history gracefully intertwines with the contemporary luxury, allowing all guests to enjoy a truly one-of-a-kind stay.”

In addition, Moire Hoi An is to introduce “Memorable Rituals”, which connect guests to its unique identity and cultural landscape.

Next year, the resort plans to enhance guest experiences further by introducing a visual and audio guide to the town, created in collaboration with local artists.

Moreover, the hotel’s “Means For Good” programme demonstrates its commitment to community engagement by partnering with a local primary school to support arts education.

The resort features three dining venues, including The Yellow Bicycle, and Ember & Sip, which offers a twist on American BBQ with Asian flavours.

Guests can also relax at the infinity-edge swimming pool overlooking the river while the Breathe Spa combines Eastern traditions with Western therapies, offering treatments such as rejuvenating reflexology.

Vignette Collection has grown rapidly since its inception three years ago, now boasting 19 open hotels and 34 more in development, including upcoming debuts in Japan and Maldives.

Last month, IHG Hotels & Resorts signed the Vignette Collection, Union Han, Istanbul Karaköy, marking the Vignette Collection brand’s debut in Türkiye in 2025.

The converted property will feature 51 guest rooms and a range of amenities, including a round-the-clock artisan bakery, restaurant, and wellness facilities.
