Playa Hotels & Resorts, an owner and operator of Mexico and Caribbean-based resorts, has revealed that the all-inclusive resort Wyndham Alltra Hotel in Punta Cana, the Dominican Republic, will open on 1 April 2025.
Now open for reservations, the resort is positioned on Uvero Alto Beach and offers 620 suites, some of which feature private swim-out pools and family-friendly options.
Playa Hotels & Resorts executive vice-president and chief investment officer Fernando Mulet said: “The all-inclusive market in the Dominican Republic continues to thrive, and we are delighted to deepen our partnership with Wyndham in this vibrant region. Wyndham Alltra Punta Cana marks our second third-party-managed property under the Wyndham Alltra brand in the Dominican Republic.
“With its distinctive local concept and design, this hotel will deliver a truly unique experience for our guests, setting a new benchmark in Punta Cana and the Caribbean.”
The property, previously known as Jewel Punta Cana, has undergone renovations to become part of the Wyndham Alltra brand, a partnership with Playa Hotels & Resorts.
This marks the first Wyndham Alltra property in the Punta Cana region and the second in the Dominican Republic, expanding the brand’s presence in the Caribbean.

Guests at the resort can enjoy nine newly renovated food and beverage outlets, a coffee bar, a sports bar, and a pan-Asian restaurant.
The resort’s Aura Spa has also been fully renovated, featuring 12 treatment rooms, including options for couples or singles.
For families, Camp Alltra offers a dedicated space for children aged three to twelve, complete with a playground and pool.
Additionally, a new water park is set to enhance the resort’s leisure offerings.
