Upper-upscale hotel brand Radisson Blu has opened a new property in Montpellier, France, designed to suit the needs of both business and leisure travellers.

The Radisson Blu Hotel, Montpellier is located near the Le Corum Convention Center and Place de la Comédie.

The hotel offers 144 rooms and suites with amenities such as plush bedding, workstations, and views of the city.

Radisson Hotel Group Franchise senior vice president Joep Peeters said: “The opening of the Radisson Blu Hotel, Montpellier marks our debut in this vibrant French city and serves as a key milestone in our expansion across France.

“With a prime location, modern accommodations, and sustainable initiatives, the property is poised to deliver exceptional experiences for both business and leisure travellers.”

Dining options include the contemporary restaurant, Le Boudoir Montpelliérain, which serves a variety of French dishes. The hotel also provides a fitness centre.

The property provides approximately 500m² of flexible meeting space and five meeting rooms that span from 30 to 170m².

The hotel has implemented energy-efficient practices like water-saving faucets, motion-detected lighting, as well as an EV charging station.

Efforts to reduce the hotel’s environmental impact also include avoiding plastic bottles, minimising food waste, and promoting the use of public transportation.

The central location of the hotel provides guests with access to Montpellier’s main attractions, including the Fabre Museum and the Gothic Montpellier Cathedral.

Radisson Blu Hotel, Montpellier general manager Alison Michou said: “We are thrilled to open the Radisson Blu Hotel in Montpellier, a dynamic destination that allows guests to explore the rich history of the city while enjoying a modern, comfortable stay.

“Our strategic location and diverse offerings ensure we cater to both business professionals and those looking for a peaceful urban retreat.”

In 2023, Radisson Hotel Group formed a collaboration with Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield (URW) and AXA IM Alts to open a Radisson Blu hotel within Paris’ Triangle project, a new mixed-use development.
