IHG Hotels & Resorts, in partnership with Grupo Onyria, has announced the signing of a 309-room dual-branded hotel in Cascais, Portugal.

The Onyria Marinha Cascais, Vignette Collection and Kimpton Quinta da Marinha Cascais are anticipated to open between this year and 2026.

The new properties will join the Portuguese portfolio of six open and eight pipeline hotels under IHG’s umbrella, including the Kimpton Atlântico Algarve and Kimpton Lisbon.

These additions are alongside the recently signed Six Senses Comporta and Hotel Indigo Albufeira.

Situated in Quinta da Marinha, the hotels will offer guests views of the Atlantic Ocean and access to beaches, shops, and restaurants. The hotels are in proximity to Lisbon International Airport and the city.

Grupo Onyria chief commercial officer Joao Pinto Coelho said: “The speed at which luxury hotels can be converted to meet the needs of the modern traveller is one of the key factors that lead to our partnership with IHG Hotels & Resorts.

“Onyria Marinha Cascais, Vignette Collection and Kimpton Quinta da Marinha Cascais are both unique in their own right, with designs that draw inspiration from their picturesque surroundings. We believe that IHG’s brands align perfectly with our vision to retain their rich cultural heritage, whilst offering authentic, one-of-a-kind experiences.”

The 111-room Onyria Marinha Cascais, Vignette Collection will feature two restaurants, a bar, and ten event spaces, along with various recreation and wellness facilities.

Kimpton Quinta da Marinha Cascais will offer 198 rooms, including ten suites, along with three restaurants, two bars, indoor and outdoor pools, and a kids pool. The hotel will also provide 12 conference rooms and a lake house venue for events.

Additionally, IHG is collaborating with Peninsula Bay Investment to reintroduce the InterContinental Hotels & Resorts brand to Cambodia.

Scheduled to open in 2028, the InterContinental Sihanoukville will feature 300 rooms, dining venues, bars, a luxury spa, and coastal views within the Peninsula Bay Integrated Resort.

Positioned 30 minutes from Sihanoukville International Airport, the hotel will offer guests access to local attractions such as Otres Beach and Ream National Park.

InterContinental Sihanoukville will join Six Senses Krabey Island and the forthcoming Vignette Collection Phnom Penh Odom, slated to open in 2027.

Earlier this month, IHG signed a management agreement with Girija Land Ventures for the Crowne Plaza Resort Jim Corbett in Uttarakhand, India.
