July 2021 has seen an increase of 10.49% in the overall hiring activity when compared with June 2021.
IT jobs accounted for a 7.7% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in July 2021, registering decrease of 1.93% over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in July 2021
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in South & Central America with a share of 34.48% in July 2021, a 16.67% drop over the previous month. Computer and Information Analysts came in next, claiming a share of 31.03% in July 2021, marking a 28.57% month-on-month increase. In the third place was Computer Support Specialists with a share of 24.14% in July 2021, a flat growth from June 2021.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average flat growth in the overall IT recruitment activity of South & Central America’s auto industry during July 2021 over previous month.
Robert Bosch posted 24 IT jobs in July 2021 and registered an increase of 100% over the previous month, followed by General Motors with 3 jobs and a flat growth. Nissan Motor with 1 IT jobs and AB Volvo with 1 jobs, recorded a flat growth and an 87.5% drop, respectively.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in South & Central America’s auto industry
Brazil commanded a leading presence in the region’s auto industry IT hiring activity with a 93.1% share in July 2021, a 22.73% rise over June 2021. Argentina featured next with a 6.9% share, flat growth over the previous month.
Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 82.76%, up by 14.29% from June 2021. Entry Level positions with a 10.34% share, a decline of 40% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with 6.9% share, down 33.33% over June 2021.
