The company’s overall hiring activity increased by 19.16% in February 2022 when compared with January 2022.

IT jobs claimed a 31.67% share in the company’s total hiring activity in February 2022, and recorded a 0.45% decline over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Expedia Group IT hiring in February 2022
Out of the total IT job titles posted by Expedia Group, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 83.24% in February 2022, and a 148.28% rise over January 2022, while Computer and Information Research Scientists claimed a share of 9.83% in February 2022, and registered growth of 70%. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 3.47% in February 2022, a 50% rise from January 2022.

North America emerged as the leading region in the global travel & tourism IT hiring activity in February 2022 with a 69.36% share, which marked an 185.71% rise over the previous month.
Asia-Pacific stood next with 22.54%, registering a 143.75% month-on-month growth. Europe was the third leading region with a 6.94% share and a 33.33% drop over January 2022.
In the fourth place was Middle East & Africa with a share of 1.16% and a month-on-month decline of 33.33%.
The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s travel & tourism industry IT hiring activity with a 67.05% share in February 2022, a 176.19% growth over January 2022. India featured next with a 20.81% share, up 140% over the previous month. The UK recorded a 6.36% share, a decline of 8.33% compared with January 2022.
Junior Level jobs lead Expedia Group IT hiring activity in February 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 69.36%, up by 166.67% from January 2022. Mid Level positions with a 15.03% share, a growth of 160% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 14.45% share, up 25% over January 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 1.16%, recording a month-on-month decline of 50%.
