The company’s overall hiring activity increased by 48.46% in October 2021 when compared with September 2021.

IT jobs claimed a 36.38% share in the company’s total hiring activity in October 2021, and recorded a 2.44% decline over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Expedia Group IT hiring in October 2021
Out of the total IT job titles posted by Expedia Group, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 87.99% in October 2021, and a 24.82% drop over September 2021, while Computer and Information Research Scientists claimed a share of 6.15% in October 2021, and registered growth of 83.33%. Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 2.23% in October 2021, a 100% rise from September 2021.

North America emerged as the leading region in the global travel & tourism IT hiring activity in October 2021 with a 48.04% share, which marked a 39.01% drop over the previous month.
Asia-Pacific stood next with 35.47%, registering a 35.11% month-on-month growth. Europe was the third leading region with a 15.08% share and a 23.94% drop over September 2021.
In the fourth place was Middle East & Africa with a share of 1.4% and a month-on-month decline of 16.67%.
The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s travel & tourism industry IT hiring activity with a 46.37% share in October 2021, a 38.97% decline over September 2021. India featured next with a 24.3% share, up 16% over the previous month. The UK recorded an 11.45% share, a decline of 21.15% compared with September 2021.
Junior Level jobs lead Expedia Group IT hiring activity in October 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 67.04%, down by 16.38% from September 2021. Entry Level positions with a 17.32% share, a decline of 16.22% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with 14.53% share, down 40.23% over September 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 1.12%, recording a month-on-month decline of 20%.
