Belmond has signed a management agreement with Cadogan Estates to operate The Cadogan, a 64-key hotel on Sloane Street in the heart of Chelsea, London, UK.
The Cadogan hotel will be closed at the end of July to undergo a $48m investment and will re-open as the Belmond Cadogan in mid-2016.

Working with Belmond and Blair Associates Architects, Cadogan Estates will fund the redevelopment, which will include the complete refurbishment of all public areas and the reconfiguration of the property from 64 keys to 54 in order to cater to demand from luxury travellers for larger suites.
GA Design International will carry out the interior design project at the hotel.
Cadogan Estates chief executive Hugh Seaborn said: "The Cadogan has a colourful history – once home to Lillie Langtry where she courted the future King of England and also the location of Oscar Wilde’s infamous arrest – and a wonderful future."
Belmond owns and operates three railway businesses in the UK, including the Belmond Royal Scotsman luxury rail experience, as well as the 32-room hotel and two-Michelin restaurant Belmond Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons.
