Hilton’s Hampton Hotels has signed a new hotel in Hawaii, in a bid to offer more than 2,000 locations worldwide, including across all 50 US states.
Constructed by DeBartolo Development, the new 175-room Hampton Inn & Suites hotel is said to be part of a new development called Ka Makana Ali’i – The Center for West O’ahu.
Featuring a 1.4 million square foot regional shopping centre, Ka Makana Ali’i has more than 150 new shops and restaurants, a cinema and LEED-certified office space.
Phase one of the new development is slated for opening in 2016, with the construction expected in mid-2015.
DeBartolo Development president and chief operating officer Edward Kobel said: "DeBartolo Development is very excited to welcome Hampton Inn & Suites to the growing roster of world-class tenants at Ka Makana Ali’i.
"The addition of a globally recognised hotel brand to the West Oahu market will make it easier for kama’aina and visitors alike to enjoy all the area has to offer, including the extensive shopping, dining and entertainment options at Ka Makana Ali’i."
