Hospitality group Hilton Worldwide has signed a deal for a dual-branded Hilton Garden Inn and Home2 Suites by Hilton hotel in Columbia, South Carolina.
Franchisee Gervais Street Hotel and development and management company CN Hotels will rebrand, convert and expand the existing Clarion Hotel Downtown to a 110-room Hilton Garden Inn and 100-room Home2 Suites.
Slated to open in 2016, both hotels will offer a diverse range of rooms, suites and amenities.
The two hotels will share some amenities and services, while still maintaining each brand’s individuality.
Phil Cordell, global head for focused service and Hampton brand management at Hilton Worldwide, said: "The signing of the dual-branded Hilton Garden Inn and Home2 Suites Columbia Downtown marks a strategic implementation for us in a top market."
Hilton Garden Inn will offer 5,500ft² of meeting space, an outdoor pool and Carolina’s Restaurant.

The mid-tier, all-suite Home2 Suites hotel will offer modern suites and 800ft² of meeting space. It will share the indoor poor will the Hilton Garden Inn.
