Accor has signed a partnership agreement with Q Real Estate Development Company for a new Novotel hotel in Egypt, named Novotel Sidi Abd El Rahman.

Expected to open in 2027, the hotel will be located on the northern Mediterranean coast of Egypt.

The collaboration marks Q Real Estate Development Company’s first hotel project within the Q North mixed-use development, situated at a short distance from Marassi coastal area.

Q Developments CEO Ahmed Thabet said: “This is our first hotel development on this beautiful coastline, adding yet another reason to visit, joining a handful of existing upscale properties.

“The opening of Novotel Sidi Abd El Rahman will take Q North into a new era – offering an excellent midscale product set to attract both domestic and international tourists looking for a beautiful, relaxing and exciting beach destination.”

This development follows the recent announcement of two Swissôtel properties on Egypt’s North Coast.

Novotel Sidi Abd El Rahman will feature 240 rooms, catering to leisure travellers and the Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE) sector.

The property’s dining options will include a restaurant, a café, a pool bar, and a rooftop bar.

The hotel will also feature a 600m² ballroom and four meeting rooms, each measuring 50m².

Additionally, it will provide various amenities including a fitness centre, spa, outdoor swimming pool, and padel courts, and a selection of water sports activities.

Accor Middle East, Africa & Asia Pacific Premium, Midscale & Economy Division CEO Duncan O’Rourke said: “This is an exciting opportunity for us to bring one of the world’s most renowned hotel brands to an established, yet developing location, filling a gap in the market for accessible, midscale properties that offer comfort, modernity and energising facilities.”

Earlier this month, Accor collaborated with Terres de Légendes to launch The Whimsy Hotel & Spa Saint-Martin – MGallery Collection in the Caribbean.

Currently, Accor’s portfolio includes 24 hotels across premium, midscale, and economy offerings, alongside 40 hotels within the luxury and lifestyle segment.
