France-based hospitality company Accor has announced its plans to foray into Iceland in the second quarter (Q2) of 2024 with ibis Styles Reykjavik.
For this hotel opening, Accor partnered with Icelandic Hotels & Resorts / Hotels & Resorts – Investment & Development.
Situated at Hallarmúli 1 in the country’s capital, this 57-room property, originally called Hotel Múli, will undergo renovations before being rebranded and opened as ibis Styles Reykjavik in early 2024.
Put on the market since 2016, Hótel Múli is strategically located in the capital city with easy access to the city centre and the international airport.
The city centre is reachable from the hotel in 15 minutes by public transport while the Keflavík International Airport is a 50-minute drive away.
This latest announcement marks Accor’s second entry into the Nordic region, following the launch of ibis Styles Copenhagen Ørestad in spring this year.
