US-based hospitality group AIC Hotel Group has announced the expansion of its UNICO brand into the UNICO Hotel Collection, with plans to open new properties in Mexico and Jamaica.

The hotels are slated to come up in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico; and Montego Bay, Jamaica.

This latest development builds on the “success” of UNICO 20°87° Riviera Maya, an adults-only luxury all-inclusive property launched seven years ago.

The new hotels in Mexico and Jamaica aim to maintain the brand’s emphasis on blending regional culture with amenities, offering curated experiences, local cuisine, wellness programmes, and cultural exploration.

The first property, UNICO 20°105° Puerto Vallarta, is scheduled to open in late 2025.

The boutique hotel will feature 141 rooms offering views of Banderas Bay and the Sierra Madre Mountains and a rooftop pool.

Earlier this year, AIC Hotel Group unveiled AVA, a new luxury resort brand, with plans to open the inaugural property in Cancun, Mexico.

AVA Resort Cancun, the brand’s debut property, will launch this summer.

This five-star à la carte resort will be a 1,743-room oceanfront property, incorporating a coastal aesthetic that embodies the waterfront lifestyle.
