The Akwesasne Mohawk Casino Resort (AMCR) in the US has acquired Comfort Inn and the adjacent 18 acres from Tarbell Management Group.
AMCR noted that the purchase is in line with its sustainable growth and community development goals.
It did not disclose the financial details of the deal.

AMCR general manager Scott Freeman said: “Recapturing our market post-pandemic extends beyond the gaming and hospitality sectors, which includes exploring the desire for smoke-friendly amenities; it also directly impacts our local convenience stores.

The property also offers dining venues, a 150-room hotel with a recreational vehicle park and gift shop, as well as hosts a wide range of shows and events.
The hotel includes an indoor pool and hot tub, a fitness centre, free Wi-Fi, and more.
Dining venues comprise Maple Steak & Ale, Native Harvest Buffet, Sticks Sports Bar & Grill, The Tavern, and Cedars Coffee.
