Avani Hotels & Resorts, part of Minor Hotels, has launched a corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme, called Dollars for Deeds across Asia.
This initiative enables guests to contribute to various causes such as children’s hospitals in Laos, disability organisations in Bali, and coral reef protection programmes in the Indian Ocean.
The upscale hotel brand has requested its guests to partake in this opt-out initiative.
Through this initiative, a donation of one dollar per night of stay can be made, while Minor Hotels matches each donation dollar for dollar.
Avani+ Luang Prabang in Laos collaborates with Lao Friends Hospital for Children to provide medical treatment to more than 35,000 children each year.
Through the Dollars for Deeds initiative, the hotel contributes resources equivalent to 50 ampoules of vitamin B1 or a casting kit for bone injuries, among others, for every one-night stay.
