Barnsley Resort in Adairsville, Georgia, US, has launched a series of renovations and upgrades, some already completed and others in progress.
The multi-faceted project includes the refurbishment of cottage guest rooms and suites, enhancements to the Beretta Shooting Grounds, and the introduction of a Biergarten and new pickleball courts.
The renovations coincide with the 25th anniversary of the resort this year and are facilitated by South Street Partners, a private equity real estate sponsor and investment manager.
Operated by Davidson Resorts, the resort’s 39 free-standing cottages, comprising 84 guest rooms and suites, have undergone a $6.2m refurbishment.
Charlotte-based interior design company Charlotte Lucas Design has executed the remodel, infusing the spaces with bold colours and whimsical details. The renovations aim to preserve the cottages’ inviting character while introducing an elevated sense of Southern hospitality. The design harmonises bold patterns with soft touches, drawing inspiration from the Southern landscape’s heritage colour palette, flora, and fauna.
The interior upgrades are complemented by exterior enhancements that contribute to a cohesive and harmonious aesthetic throughout the resort. The final phase of the cottage renovations was completed last month.
