India-based hospitality company Brij Hotels and Resorts has reportedly revealed plans to open new properties in multiple states across the country.

Brij Hotels vice-president Rajeev Manhar told The Economic Times that new boutique resorts will open in the coming quarter in locations Dharamshala and Bandhavgarh. The company will also open a hotel in Jodhpur.

Manhar was quoted by the publication saying: “We will be adding a few more in the coming quarter. This will take the total number of hotels to ten by June-July.

“In the second half of the year, we will be opening a hotel in Jodhpur and Goa and Jaisalmer are on the cards early next year.”

Currently, the company operates seven properties that it either owns or leases. It also holds a robust presence in Rajasthan.

The company owns properties in Kukas, Bikaner, Jawai, Pali and Jaipur. The recent addition is Brij Bageecha Kukas, an all-villa, pet-friendly resort.

Manhar added: “We are primarily investors and believe in developing hotels and running it ourselves.”

Manhar noted that the corporation is open to the management model if the properties match the standards of the company.

Further, the company has signed a new hotel, Brij Atmanya, in Bhowali, Nainital. This 12-guestroom all-suite resort is scheduled to open next month.

The company is also focused on expanding its footprint outside India. A new resort in Pokhara, Nepal, is being constructed and is expected to open in 2025.
