Choice Hotels International’s upscale brand Cambria Hotels has broken ground on its first property in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, US.
The 114-room Cambria Hotel Rehoboth Beach property is expected to open in spring 2024.
The beginning of construction was marked by a ceremony, which was attended by the representatives of Choice Hotels and hotel developer Pinnacle Hospitality Group along with local officials and dignitaries.
Choice Hotels senior vice-president Janis Cannon said: “This Rehoboth Beach milestone marks Cambria’s entry into Delaware – and celebrates our continued collaboration with Pinnacle Hospitality as we grow the Cambria footprint throughout the region – but also because it commemorates yet another fantastic destination modern travellers who know and love the Cambria brand will soon have access to.”
The four-storey hotel will come-up at the intersection of John J Williams Highway and Beebe Road in Delaware and will be located near the city’s famous beaches along with Dewey Beach, Rehoboth Beach and Lewes Beach.
The spacious guest rooms in the hotel will have abundant lighting, plush bedding, and private balconies, as well as spa-style bathrooms with Bluetooth mirrors.

By GlobalDataCambria Hotel Rehoboth Beach hotel is expected to feature upscale amenities including indoor and outdoor pools, multi-purpose indoor and outdoor spaces, poolside cabanas, a tiki bar and outdoor fire pits.
The hotel’s design and décor will be based on the local art collection and culture of the native community.
Other facilities in the hotel will include on-site dining options, 3,800ft² of multi-function event and meeting spaces and fitness centre.
Currently, the brand includes 60 properties in the US including Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, New Orleans and a recently opened property in Nashville.
