Cartmel Old Grammar Country House, a historic Grade II listed hotel and wedding venue in Cumbria, UK, has changed hands.
Business property adviser Christie & Co facilitated the sale of this property, which dates back to 1790 and was once part of a former Grammar School.
The building has served various purposes, including a private residence and an adventure centre, before being modernised into a hotel and wedding venue.
The property features 12 ensuite bedrooms, function spaces, a bar, and an entrance hall. The ceremony area accommodates 60 guests while the function area provides space for 100 guests.
Traditional features of the property include fireplaces and bay windows offering garden views.
The establishment is located in the village of Cartmel, renowned for its racecourse, a 1,000-year-old priory, and culinary venues, including the Michelin-starred restaurant Enclume.
