Thailand hotel operator Centara Hotels & Resorts has revealed plans to open its new themed family resort in October this year.

Called Centara Mirage Beach Resort Dubai, the waterfront hotel is located on the Deira Islands in the UAE.

The property is a jointly venture development between Centara and UAE’s real estate development firm Nakheel.

The opening is in line with the company’s plan to strengthen its presence in the Middle East hospitality sector.

The hotel has 607 guest rooms and suites, a Mirage Family Lounge for club level guests, dedicated kids’ spa, outdoor playground, and three Kids’ Clubs, as well as water park with lazy river and beachfront swimming pool.

Each of the rooms feature a balcony that offers city or sea views.

Centara Mirage Beach Resort Dubai also boasts nine dining choices, including a rooftop shisha lounge and a beach club.

Additionally, there is a fitness centre, water sports facilities, and prayer rooms.

Once open, Centara Mirage Beach Resort Dubai will be the company’s first property in the UAE and the third Centara Mirage property across the globe.

The company unveiled its first Centara Mirage themed family resort, Centara Grand Mirage Beach Resort Pattaya, in Thailand in 2009.

The Spanish Mediterranean themed waterpark resort, Centara Mirage Resort Mui Ne, in Vietnam opened earlier this year.

Recently, Centara entered a preferred partnership with bedbank firm Hotelbeds to provide special rates and exclusive offers for Hotelbeds clients across its 44 properties in Thailand and the Middle East.

In August last year, the company signed agreements for three new hotels in Myanmar.
