Certares, a company specialising in travel and hospitality investments, in partnership with HHM Hotels, has acquired the Carté Hotel San Diego Downtown, a part of the Curio Collection by Hilton.
Financial details of the transaction have not been disclosed.
This deal was directly negotiated with Carté Hotel Partners, who will reinvest in the new ownership entity.
Certares senior managing director Nolan Hecht said: “We are excited to add one of the top lodging assets in the Downtown San Diego market to our growing portfolio. This transaction is consistent with our strategy to acquire high-quality experiential real estate in growing major markets.”
The Carté Hotel, located in the Little Italy neighbourhood of San Diego, US, opened its doors in late 2019.
It offers 246 guest rooms, an outdoor pool deck, a 25,000ft² athletic club, 7,158ft² of event space, and more.
