Business property adviser Christie & Co is facilitating the sale of the Vine Hotel, a historic guest house and event space in Skegness, UK.

Dating back to 1770, the property is recognised as the oldest in Skegness and includes 25 en-suite bedrooms, a restaurant, two bars, and function areas.

All these are set within three acres of lawned gardens and outdoor dining areas, which feature five dining pods.

Known for its association with poet Alfred Lord Tennyson, this hotel has been owned by the current proprietors for over a decade, during which it has received considerable investment and development.

The property is situated one mile from Skegness town centre, a holiday destination that attracts visitors from across the North and Midlands.

Overseeing the sale, Christie & Co senior business agent Matt Hill said: “The Vine Hotel is a busy, successful and historic Hotel, Bar and Restaurant which we are proud to be marketing and would be an asset to any owner’s portfolio.

“The opportunity also offers further potential as there is granted planning permission for 20 additional lettings bedrooms within the ground of around three acres.”

The asking price for the Vine Hotel is £1.79m ($2.33m), and the sale includes planning permission for the addition of 20 more letting bedrooms, presenting an opportunity for expansion under new ownership.

Earlier this year, Christie & Co unveiled that it is handling the sale of The Resolution Hotel, a Grade II listed property in North Yorkshire, UK.

Priced at £3.2m, the hotel has seen extensive refurbishments, boasting enhanced suites, bedrooms, and dining facilities.
