Cloudbeds and HotelREZ have together completed the development of a direct two-way interface.
Cloudbeds is a property management system (PMS) platform partner in the hospitality industry while HotelREZ is a hotel representation company.
HotelREZ’s REZswitch two-way application programming interface links Cloudbeds’ cloud-based hotel PMS and HotelREZ’s central reservation system called CentralREZ.
This integration offers real-time updates for handling inventory, rates, availability, and bookings distributed through the Global Distribution Systems.
This information, which is used by travel agents, is claimed to also reach several bookers through GDS-powered websites worldwide.
The company notes that this interface will provide hoteliers with real-time reservation deliveries and availability updates from various channels through the PMS.

By GlobalDataCustomers using Cloudbeds are also expected to gain an advantage from having access to HotelREZ’s network of travel agencies, consortia partnerships, and global demand programme.
The programme comprises corporate and meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions tourism (MICE) requests for proposal (RFP) generation.
HotelREZ CEO and founder Mark Lewis said: “We are constantly striving to find ways to help hotels improve their efficiencies, save time and automate processes to reduce pressure on staff but also maximise revenue potential.
“This new interface into CentralREZ not only enables hotels using Cloudbeds PMS to manage their GDS inventory with greater efficiencies but will also reduce the potential for errors and overbooking.”
Cloudbeds vice president of partnerships Sebastien Leitner said: “We are pleased to be able to offer our Cloudbeds users a simpler way of distributing their inventory directly from the GDS and other key third-party channels.
“The GDS is of great importance to hotels’ bottom line, being a great source for additional bookings, and HotelREZ is recognised as a global leader in the hotel representation sector. Our certified two-way interface will be highly beneficial to hotels, providing them with optimal revenue and yield capabilities.”
In September 2023, Cloudbeds announced the worldwide availability of its Whistle for Cloudbeds guest communication platform.
