IHG Hotels & Resorts has announced the opening of its 700th hotel in Greater China, marking a pivotal moment in its nearly five-decade history in the region.
The journey began in 1975 with the inauguration of the Holiday Inn Golden Mile Hong Kong. IHG continued its commitment to Greater China, hitting the 100-hotel mark in 2008 and the 600-hotel milestone in 2022.
IHG Greater China 700 Club
The hotel company has introduced the “IHG Greater China 700 Club,” to emphasise its diverse brand matrix and development potential.
The exclusive club features recently opened hotels across a range of collections, demonstrating IHG’s brand presence and collaborative efforts with business partners. Notable inclusions range from the company’s Luxury & Lifestyle Collection, featuring the Regent Shanghai on The Bund, to the Essential Collection, featuring Holiday Inn Chengdu East and Holiday Inn Express Shanghai NECC.
The club also has hotels from IHG’s Premium Collection, including the HUALUXE Sanya Yalong Bay Resort, the Crowne Plaza Jinan Runhua, voco Changsha Airport and EVEN Zhongshan City Centre.
