The Cordish Companies has presented the master project plan for the Diamond Jacks Casino and Hotel redevelopment project in Bossier City to the Louisiana gaming control board (GCB).
The firm plans to transform the property into a Live! Casino resort and entertainment destination following the acquisition of the Diamond Jacks Casino and Hotel at the beginning of April.
This redevelopment plan involves the construction of a new land-based Live! Casino in addition to the removal of the existing casino riverboat.
Live! Casino and Hotel Louisiana will open in 2025.

The Cordish Companies plan to make an investment of around $250m in the new Live! Casino and Hotel Louisiana.
This property will feature a game space of over 47,000ft², which includes more than 1,000 slots and electronic as well as 30 live-action table games.
The Live! Casino and Hotel Louisiana, a resort-style hotel, will have over 400 rooms and a 25,000ft² multi-purpose event centre for meetings and events.
Louisiana GCB chairman Ronnie Johns said: “The Louisiana gaming control board looks forward to working with the Cordish Companies to bring a world-class casino and entertainment destination to the Bossier/Shreveport market.
“The board also wants to thank Foundation Gaming for their vision in beginning this much-needed process of rebuilding a closed casino property.
“We will be working closely with both Foundation and Cordish to make this project a reality as soon as possible to deliver a gaming and entertainment destination that Louisiana can be proud of.”
The property will also have a dining and entertainment area of 30,000ft² with more than six food and beverage venues.
