Oxford United Football Club in the UK has appointed hotel management company Cycas Hospitality to operate a new hotel within its proposed new stadium near Kidlington.
The 180-room hotel will be part of a wider development that includes a 16,000-seat stadium, as well as a conference and exhibition centre with a capacity of over 1,000.
Operating under the Radisson brand, the hotel will feature standard rooms, family rooms, and suites, with a number of rooms designed for flexible use between accommodation and hospitality space.
Cycas Hospitality chief development officer Craig Patterson said: “Myself and the team are incredibly pleased to start 2025 by sharing the latest step in our company’s development.
“Continuing our growth with our partners at Oxford United and Radisson Hotel Group to open this hotel within a thoroughly modern, purpose-built sporting centre and community landmark is just one of our exciting updates for the year ahead, and we can’t wait to open the doors of the hotel and stadium to the local community next year.”
Oxford United chief commercial and marketing officer Adam Benson said: “We’re delighted to be working with Cycas who will ensure everyone who stays at the new Radisson Hotel receives a first-class experience in keeping with the values of the Club and the new stadium.”
To be located next to Oxford Parkway rail station, the site will offer connections to air, rail, and road transport
The hotel is said to be Cycas Hospitality’s first UK-based Radisson-branded hotel under management, adding to its portfolio across 13 European countries.
In May 2022, Cycas Hospitality secured three management agreements across Denmark, France and the UK.
