The Dalata Hotel Group has further solidified its presence in the UK with the opening of its second Maldron Hotel in Manchester, creating 32 new jobs.
The Maldron Hotel Manchester Cathedral Quarter marks Dalata’s fourth hotel in the city, joining Clayton Hotel Manchester Airport, Clayton Hotel Manchester City Centre and Maldron Hotel Manchester City Centre.
The new 4-star establishment becomes the 54th hotel in the group’s portfolio and the first of four Maldron Hotels set to open across the UK in the summer of 2024.
The 188-bedroom hotel provides guests with convenient access to Manchester’s main attractions.
The hotel features the brand’s signature Grain & Grill restaurant offering a curated menu of dishes, and a Red Bean Roastery coffee dock for barista-brewed coffee.
Business travellers can take advantage of the hotel’s two meeting rooms.

Dennell further highlighted the hotel’s convenience for football fans, with its proximity to Manchester Victoria Station offering easy access to both the Old Trafford and Etihad Stadiums.
The hotel has a modern ground floor with self-check-in options, a dining and bar area, and a gym.
Deluxe double bedrooms feature rainfall showers, wooden floors, air conditioning and USB-C charging points.
The company plans to open three additional Maldron Hotels in the summer of 2024 in prime locations across the UK: Shoreditch in London, Brighton and Liverpool – bringing the total number of Maldron Hotels in the UK to eleven.

“Today’s opening increases our Manchester team to 291 employees and demonstrates our commitment to the delivery of our UK expansion strategy.”
The hotel has been accredited with a BREEAM [Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Methodology] Very Good rating, and holds Energy Performance Certificate A status.
