From 22 May 2023 onwards, guests of the Days Inn hotel brand in select US and Canadian cities will be able to use a “complimentary” interactive mirror.
The mirror contains pre-recorded messages from US TV host Ross Matthews.
The mirror is the second iteration of the hotel brand’s line of “complimentary” amenities. In the summer of 2022, Days Inn introduced what it coined “the world’s nicest pillow” – a pillow that broadcasted compliments.
Interactive amenities such as these are part of the hospitality industry’s shift towards the experience economy, which GlobalData highlights as a key theme in the industry.
Up to five complimentary mirrors will be available at each participating hotel until 30 June 2023. Mirrors are available at no extra cost and will be available in select rooms upon request.
Days Inn by Wyndham president and brand leader John Henderson commented: “At Days Inn, we are in the business of making days brighter. We know this mirror will bring guests an extra dose of sunshine.”
