db Group, in partnership with Hard Rock International, has begun construction on the Hard Rock Hotel Malta, a new addition to their global portfolio.
With a total investment of €300m ($330m), the five-star Hard Rock Hotel Malta will comprise 394 rooms, most featuring balconies with views of the Mediterranean, and 25 luxury suites each with a private pool.
The design will incorporate the 1860 British military accommodation quarters into its architecture.
The hotel will offer amenities, including several pools, a Rock Spa, and a Body Rock fitness center.
It forms part of as new €300m mixed-use development project, which includes the Ora Residences.
Designed as luxury living with their vertical garden concept, the residences will provide a range of amenities, including private pools, private temperature-controlled wine cellars, chauffeurs, 24/7 concierge services and others.

By GlobalDataThe development will also include St. George’s Mall, spanning over 20,000m², as well as 12 different restaurants and bars, including the Hard Rock Cafe and EL&N.
db Group chairman Silvio Debono said: “Our vision is quite unique. We want people to come here and go wherever their imagination takes them. In addition to retail and dining, the mixed-use project will feature 5,000m² of green and public spaces, a 1,300m² supermarket, parking with 1,300 spaces, and an exclusive beach lido.
The development is scheduled to open in early 2026.
