The Delamar Greenwich Harbor hotel, in the US state of Connecticut, is set to undergo renovations in the early half of 2024, as reported by CTInsider.
The refurbishment of the 82-room hotel is expected to commence in January next year and be completed between March and May of 2024.
Greenwich Hospitality Group founder Charles Mallory said: “The rooms will be totally brought up to date and they will look and feel different from a design and decorative point of view.
“We want to keep the existing traditional charm that the hotel and rooms have, but make a transition toward a more contemporary look.”
Located at 500 Steamboat Road, the hotel’s south wing’s 65 rooms as well as the corridors will be refurbished.
The renovation will also include the kitchen of L’escale, the hotel’s restaurant.

By GlobalDataAccording to Greenwich Hospitality Group, whose portfolio includes Delamar properties, the renovation will be a multi-million-dollar project.
Delamar Greenwich Harbor’s 17 rooms in the north wing, however, will not undergo a revamp.
The property will remain open during the refurbishment while L’escale is expected to close in January, for no more than two weeks.
Since opening in 2002, the property has undergone several other improvements, including renovation of its promenade, ballroom and outdoor terrace.
Meanwhile, new Delamar hotels in Westport and Mystic are scheduled to open in late 2024.
Currently, the two sites are under development. In Westport, the new Delamar will replace the former Westport Inn, while the Mystic property is being developed on the Mystic Seaport campus, 80 miles east of the Westport hotel.
Mallory added: “We’ve been working primarily on the site work—the foundations, concrete and the things that go underground, like plumbing, wiring and sewers. Things will start getting vertical very soon.”
