Thailand hospitality group Dusit International has announced its plans to open a luxury hotel called Dusit Thani Kyoto, in Japan, in September this year.

Located in Kyoto city’s Hanganji Monzen-machi district, the hotel is 850m from Kyoto Station, which provides connectivity throughout the city as well as to the rest of the country.

The hotel will feature 147 guest rooms, a fitness facility and event spaces that can accommodate up to 240 guests, an indoor swimming pool and a Devarana Wellness Centre.

Among the dining options at the property will include a Teppanyaki restaurant, a tea shop, a basement bar called Den Kyoto, as well as a gastronomic concept Ayatana.

It will also provide guests with excursion arrangements to nearby UNESCO World Heritage Sites such as Nishi Honganji and Toji temples and other tourist attractions in the city.

According to the company, Dusit Thani Kyoto is being designed to offer convenient and comfortable stays for travellers.

Dusit Gold, the company’s guest recognition programme, will offer its members exclusive room rates, beginning at Y56,925 ($400) per night at Dusit Thani Kyoto.

This offer stands valid for booking until 30 November this year for stays at the hotel between 1 September and 28 December this year.

Currently, Dusit International’s portfolio has 300 properties consisting of hotels, luxury villas and resorts. These properties operate under seven brands across 19 countries.

Last month, Dusit International launched Dusit Hotels and Resorts in Nepal with the opening of two properties – Dusit Princess Kathmandu and Dusit Thani Himalayan Resort Dhulikhel.
