Fairfield by Marriott, a brand within Marriott Bonvoy’s portfolio, has announced its European debut with the opening of the Fairfield by Marriott Copenhagen Nordhavn.
The Fairfield by Marriott brand is known for offering a simple, reliable and affordable hotel experience focused on productivity and a good night’s sleep.
This aligns well with modern Scandinavian design sensibilities, making Copenhagen the ideal city to introduce the brand’s European-inspired aesthetic.
A European-inspired design
The Fairfield by Marriott Copenhagen Nordhavn showcases the brand’s first European prototype design, created by OCCA Design Studio in collaboration with Scandinavian design firms Mette Fredskild Design and Henning Larsen Architects.
The design incorporates natural elements and light, modern Scandinavian style to create a relaxed and efficient hotel environment. This focus on comfort and balance reflects the Danish concept of “hygge” [a quality that helps one feel comfortable and content].
The hotel’s 222 guestrooms, including 20 with sea views, feature a colour palette of natural tones and materials and are equipped with complimentary Wi-Fi and mobile desk spaces for both business and leisure travellers.
