Gettysburg Hotel in Pennsylvania, US has restored identity as Hotel Gettysburg following the completion of a comprehensive two-year revamp.

The hotel dates back more than 225 years.

It is said to have been known by various names, operating as Hotel Gettysburg from the 1890s until 1964.

This property also housed residential apartments for some time, with a fire in 1983 leading to the building’s destruction.

The hotel underwent a rebuild and reopened in 1991 under the Best Western brand, before returning to its independent status in 2012.

Now, managed by Waterford Hotel Group and owned by Gettysburg College, the property has undergone a transformation that has revitalised every aspect of the property.

Hotel Gettysburg general manager Andrea Proulx said: “The new Hotel Gettysburg bridges the past and future. Our renovations honour the hotel’s rich legacy as a community landmark, while creating a sophisticated environment for today’s travellers. Reclaiming our original name is a symbol of this commitment, and we’re excited to embark on a new chapter of exceptional hospitality.”

“We believe this new look strikes the perfect balance between honouring our tradition and offering a sophisticated, comfortable environment that meets the expectations of today’s travellers.”

It offers 119 renovated guest rooms alongside amenities such as a full-service restaurant, named One Lincoln, an adjacent Starbucks, a fitness centre, and more.

The hotel’s ballroom and versatile event spaces have been refreshed, catering to weddings, conferences, and other events.

In addition, the brand refresh includes a new logo, symbols, and colour scheme.
