Global hospitality company Hilton has announced the signing of the 273-key Hilton Dammam Airport, its first airport hotel in Saudi Arabia, Menafn.com has reported.

This hotel project will be developed in collaboration with Damman Airports Company and Al Musbah Group.

Al Musbah Group director Mohammed Almusbahi said: “We are delighted to partner with Hilton to open Hilton Dammam Airport. The modern, upscale property will serve passengers and crew passing through the busy King Fahd International Airport, as well as business and leisure travellers visiting the surrounding areas.

“The opening of the hotel also broadens our partnership of over 25 years at King Fahd International Airport, where we have led concessions for travel retail, parking operations and technology and food and beverage.”

The hotel at Dammam Airport will feature a mix of junior suites, larger one and two-bedroom suites and modern guest rooms.

To be located with easy access to Dammam City Centre, Dharan, Khobar and nearby Bahrain, the property will provide direct skywalk access to the terminal building at the international airport, which handles approximately 10 million passengers annually.

Serving as a hub for Saudia Airlines, Aramco Aviation and FlyNas, King Fahd International Airport offers flights to over 70 international destinations through more than 50 airlines.

Hilton Dammam Airport will boast a terrace, a cafe, an all-day dining restaurant, an outdoor pool with an adjacent cafe and a fitness facility.

The property will also feature several meeting facilities, such as an executive lounge that can accommodate up to 90 people.

Hilton currently has 16 hotels in Saudi Arabia and intends to open more than 50 new hotels across ten of its brands in the country.

This plan makes Saudi Arabia the company’s biggest pipeline market in the EMEA (Europe, the Middle East and Africa) region.
