Hospitality company Hilton is poised to begin the second quarter with the launch of several notable establishments and unveil substantial refurbishments from New York to Osaka.

This includes the reopening of the 375-room Waldorf Astoria New York later this year and the introduction of 372 private residences above the hotel.

The LivSmart Studios by Hilton extended stay brand is also set to debut with properties in Kokomo, Indiana; and Tullahoma, Tennessee, US, opening in June.

The Waldorf Astoria brand will mark its debut in Japan with the Waldorf Astoria Osaka, featuring 252 guest rooms within a 39-storey high-rise. The hotel is scheduled to open next month.

Additional openings planned for April include the 215-room Adia Aluma Athens in Greece, the Waldorf Astoria Costa Rica Punta Cacique, and the Hilton Turin Centre in Italy.

The company aims to open the DoubleTree by Hilton Addis Ababa Airport, marking the brand’s first property in Ethiopia, and the Hilton Garden Inn Zhangjiajie Wulingyuan in China in May.

In addition, the month will also see the opening of Homewood Suites by Hilton Nashville Downtown the Gulch, with 152 rooms; and The Marcus Portrush, the first Tapestry Collection by Hilton in Northern Ireland.

Renovations have also been completed at various US Hilton properties, including the Embassy Suites by Hilton Fort Lauderdale 17th Street, Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa in Florida, and Hilton Galveston Island Resort in Texas.

Hilton Whistler Resort & Spa in Canada, Hilton Sydney in Australia, and Hilton Tokyo Bay in Japan are also among the completed renovations.

Renovation at Beach House Fort Lauderdale, a Hilton Resort, in Florida; and Hilton Petaling Jaya in Malaysia is announced to be completed in May 2025.

In December 2024, Hilton revealed plans to add more than 500 properties to its luxury hotel brands, targeting key global destinations such as New York, Costa Rica, Athens, and Osaka.
