Hospitality group Hilton has announced plans to debut its Hilton Garden Inn brand in Pakistan’s capital city of Islamabad.

The hospitality group has signed an agreement with real estate development business Premier Choice to develop the property in the Orchard Boulevard neighbourhood in Defence Housing Authority (DHA) – Phase 1.

The DHA – Phase 1 is the newest commercial hub of the twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi.

The property, which is anticipated to open in 2027, will feature 115 guest rooms and offer guests amenities such as a pool, a lobby café, a fitness centre, meeting areas, an all-day dining restaurant and a rooftop café.

Hilton Middle East and Africa development vice-president Carlos Khneisser said: “It’s with great pleasure that we announce the debut of Hilton Garden Inn in Pakistan’s capital city of Islamabad.

“With seven additional hotels in Hilton’s pipeline across Pakistan, including two under our Hilton Garden Inn brand, we are looking forward to expanding our presence as we prepare for our first opening in 2025.”

Premier Choice CEO Amran Zia said: “This project in particular has a further appeal to both tourists and business travellers who are keen to discover what Pakistan has to offer.

“Identifying a brand for our second hospitality venture and 23rd project overall was not easy however, we believe that with Hilton’s support, the new Hilton Garden Inn will be a very popular choice for visitors and we look forward to delighting guests with our world-class service and amenities.”

Last month, Hilton also signed an agreement to open the 165-guest room Hilton Sohna Resort and Spa in the Delhi-NCR region of India, which is expected to launch in 2026.
