Hilton Middle East & Africa development vice president Carlos Khneisser said: “We are excited to be working with Misr Company for Investment and Development Co to launch DoubleTree by Hilton New Cairo At Forty Residences.

“The hotel will be a valuable addition to our existing portfolio in Cairo, in line with the growing demand for quality extended-stay accommodation.”

Hilton aims to more than double its network in Egypt.

Currently, Hilton operates 14 hotels in the country and has 20 more in the pipeline.

It includes six existing properties in Cairo and 11 under development, among them the forthcoming Hilton Cairo Nile Maadi and DoubleTree by Hilton Mangroovy El Gouna Resort.

This follows Hilton’s expansion into Croatia, where it introduced the Curio Collection by Hilton portfolio with the opening of the Keight Hotel Opatija.
