Hilton is poised to expand its footprint in Germany with the signing of a new property, Hilton Frankfurt Gravenbruch, in Frankfurt.

The global hospitality company has entered a management agreement with Allsco Gravenbruch Hotelbetriebsgesellschaft to transform the current property into a 225-room hotel under the Hilton flagship brand.

Expected to open in October 2024, the property with a history spanning over four centuries will undergo an extensive revamp across all guest rooms and public spaces.

The refurbishment will take place while the hotel remains operational, preserving the site’s historical elements such as a manor house from 1586 and a hunting lodge, which once served as a retreat for Frankfurt’s nobility in the late 19th century.

The hotel is a 15-minute drive from the city centre, main train station, and Frankfurt International Airport.

Set amid ten hectares of grounds, complete with gardens and a lake, it offers 18 meeting spaces for events and conferences.

These spaces also have an executive lounge and two ballrooms.

Furthermore, the hotel offers spa and leisure facilities, such as a gym, indoor and outdoor pools, seven treatment rooms, multiple saunas, two tennis courts, and a children’s playground. It also comprises four restaurants.

Hilton development EMEA senior vice-president Patrick Fitzgibbon said: “With more than 60 properties either trading or under development, Germany continues to be a key strategic market for Hilton, and we’re excited to be further expanding our portfolio in Frankfurt working alongside Allsco Gravenbruch Hotelbetriebsgesellschaft.

“This signing marks our ninth hotel in this major business and transport hub under four of our market-leading brands, demonstrating wide-ranging traveller demand with more than ten million overnight stays in the city last year alone.”

Upon opening, Hilton Frankfurt Gravenbruch will join an extensive portfolio of Hilton properties in Frankfurt, including Hilton Frankfurt City Centre, Hilton Frankfurt Airport, and several others under the DoubleTree by Hilton, Hilton Garden Inn, and Hampton by Hilton brands.
